This enchanting old village of Lucignano d'Asso, in the southern most tip of Tuscany, is a half hour’s drive from Siena. The village consists of just a few medieval houses perched on a top of the hill and the whole place is owned by one woman, baroness. It is surrounded by the kind of natural beauty one finds only in Tuscany - rolling hills, and dense woodlands populated by roe deer, hare and pheasants, and miles of olive groves and fertile patchwork fields. There is an abundance of color in every season of the year. This town has exquisite beauty, with no traffic and only the sounds of bird songs and cock crowing.
